Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
Your privacy is our absolute priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how the Browser Presenter Chrome Extension operates. We designed this tool to be completely transparent, offline-first, and secure.
🔒 Core Principle: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your personal data, web browsing history, or presentation contents.
1. No Personal Data Collection
We do not collect any personal or sensitive information. We do not track or store your name, email address, IP address, browsing activity, or presentation content.
2. Local-Only Storage
Any slide decks, notes, and preferences you create in the extension are stored strictly locally on your device using standard browser storage (chrome.storage.local). This data is never uploaded to any remote servers.
3. Optional Gemini AI API Key
Browser Presenter allows you to optionally use AI features (such as translating text or automatically segmenting paragraphs into structured slides).
- Strictly Local Storage: Your Gemini API key is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us.
- Direct Communication: When you run an AI feature, the extension communicates directly with Google's official Gemini API endpoints. No intermediate servers intercept your requests or keys.
4. Essential Chrome Permissions
The extension requires specific permission APIs strictly to deliver its local presentation features:
To run the main presentation builder inside Chrome's sidebar and save your slide collections locally.
To allow you to select and mirror individual web elements on webpages to your projector window.
To detect connected monitors and easily open/position the clean presenter window on secondary screens.
To quickly right-click text or paste lyrics directly into your active slide editor.
5. Updates and Contact
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect new browser capabilities. If you have any questions, you can contact us through our official support channel on the Google Chrome Web Store.
